Absolutely superb. You put that little ratbag in his place.\u201d Charles appeared to laugh at Stewart\u2019s remark.<\/p>\n<p>During his state visit last month, Charles emphasized the \u201cindispensable alliance\u201d between the United State and United Kingdom while also reminding Trump that America might be \u201cspeaking French\u201d if not for the Brits. He also spoke for Congress, where he called on America\u2019s continued defense of Ukraine and the stressed the importance of NATO.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Stewart posted a social media video <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reels\/DT3ddStD9Qr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">criticizing<\/a> Trump after he questioned the courage of NATO troops who served in Afghanistan. Trump later walked back the remarks.<\/p>\n<p>Related Video<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s worth noting that Stewart and Trump used to be close friends, but the musician said he <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/2025\/06\/rod-stewart-severs-friendship-donald-trump-israel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">ended the relationship<\/a> over the president\u2019s support of Israel.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A slightly tricky moment for King Charles tonight at the Kings Trust event as singer Rod Stewart tells him of his recent state visit to the US: \u2018May I say well done in the Americas.
