The post was one of more than four dozen items Trump shared or reposted on Truth Social shortly before he is slated to leave for China for a high-stakes summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping.<\/p>\n
The frenzy of activity included more than a dozen posts that relitigated the 2020 presidential election, which Trump has continued to falsely claim was stolen.<\/p>\n
About a dozen posts attacked Obama by name, including one that called Trump\u2019s predecessor in his first term the \u201cmost DEMONIC FORCE in American politics in decades\u201d.<\/p>\n

In another post, Trump attacked the New York Times for a story that detailed how it would cost US$13.1 million to repair and paint the floor of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, despite Trump\u2019s previous claims that it would cost only US$1.8m.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is not just a paint job, like lowlife \u2018reporter\u2019 David Fahrenthold of the NYT so inaccurately and maliciously stated, it is a deeply complicated work of smart and beautiful construction,\u201d Trump wrote, naming one of the reporters who worked on the story. Trump did not dispute the reporting that reflecting pool repairs would cost US$13.1m.<\/p>\n
The New York Times did not immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n
Trump\u2019s attention then appeared to shift in the morning at least in part to Iran. He posted a chart that implied the US war in Iran was over and had only lasted six weeks. He also shared several seemingly AI-generated images of the US military shooting down Iranian planes and boats.<\/p>\n
