A new eBook due to be published on May 19 covers Jimmy Page\u2019s music career after Led Zeppelin.<\/p>\n
\u201cOutrider: Jimmy Page After Led Zeppelin\u201d, a 112-page eBook by author and musician Eric Congdon, focuses on Page\u2019s career from the 1980s onwards.<\/p>\n
The book is available to order through Amazon<\/a> and through Apple Books<\/a>.<\/p>\n Congdon chose to cover this period in his book because it was \u201coverlooked and under-appreciated,\u201d he tells LedZepNews. \u201cJimmy was busier and more active than people remember.\u201d<\/p>\n For anyone who hasn\u2019t yet explored Page\u2019s post-Led Zeppelin solo career, Congdon tells LedZepNews that he suggests they listen to \u201csome of his cool instrumental work from the 80s.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018Jam Sandwich\u2019 from Deathwish 2, \u2018Crackback\u2019 from JPJ\u2019s \u2018Scream for Help\u2019 soundtrack, \u2018Emerald Eyes\u2019 from Outrider,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n Page has promised for years to return to the stage and release new music. Despite these claims, no new solo music from Page has surfaced.<\/p>\n Having written about Page\u2019s solo career, does Congdon think it\u2019s possible that Page may return to performing?<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s certainly possible,\u201d he tells LedZepNews. \u201cAs far as new music, Jimmy\u2019s been working on something, or was working on something. I\u2019m not gonna speculate but he may just surprise us one day and sell direct from his website, I hope so.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWithin the right context he might appear on stage, but it would be a one off thing like what he did for Link Wray at RnR HoF,\u201d Congdon continues. \u201cHe likes surprising people and doing dramatic things, so he might.
