Britney Spears\u2019 rep is shutting down claims that the Princess of Pop potentially posed any danger during her bizarre restaurant scene on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is completely blown out of proportion. Britney was enjoying a quiet dinner with her assistant and bodyguard. She was simply telling the story about how her dog was barking at the neighbours,\u201d her rep said in a statement to Page Six Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt no point did she put anyone in danger with a knife,\u201d they continued. \u201cShe was cutting her hamburger in half.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Thursday morning, TMZ<\/a> reported that the 44-year-old singer \u201cwas raising her voice, screaming and even barking at times\u201d in a \u201cchaotic\u201d scene during her Wednesday night visit to Blue Dog Tavern in the Sherman Oaks neighbourhood of LA.<\/p>\n

Spears reportedly dined at the restaurant with a woman and a man. At one point, a restaurant patron told TMZ the singer walked by their table with a knife, prompting fears that she might harm someone with the sharp utensil.<\/p>\n

The man with Spears was also said to have lit up a cigarette near the door, prompting staff to ask him to put it out.<\/p>\n

By the end of the scene, an eyewitness said the singer\u2019s table looked \u201clike a toddler had been there.\u201d<\/p>\n

The update comes just a month after Spears checked herself into a rehab facility <\/a>following her March DUI arrest. She was seen for the first time on April 30 after completing her rehab stay.<\/p>\n

At the time, an insider close to the pop star told Page Six that Spears was \u201cdoing really well\u201d and \u201cexcited to start afresh\u201d after her rehab stint.<\/p>\n

\u201cRehab was a great opportunity for her to ground herself,\u201d the source shared.<\/p>\n

A second source told us that the singer \u2014 whose sons reportedly pushed her to enter rehab \u2014 is \u201ccontinuing counselling remotely.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, the Gimme More hit maker pleaded guilty to a charge from her DUI arrest on May 4, though she did not attend the court hearing.<\/p>\n

Spears\u2019 lawyer took a deal in exchange for the singer\u2019s charge to be reduced to \u201cwet reckless,\u201d which is common in cases for first-time offenders with a low blood alcohol count and no prior crashes.<\/p>\n

The judge ordered Spears to a one-year informal probationary grant and to complete a three-month alcohol school.<\/p>\n
