Three people have been taken into custody after police targeted traffic offending and anti-social trail bike use in the Bay of Plenty.<\/p>\n
Early this morning, police searched four properties in the Opotiki area.<\/p>\n
One trail bike was located and impounded, and two young people were arrested at the scene.<\/p>\n
\u201cFollowing the search warrants, another property of interest was searched under warrantless power locating and seizing cannabis, cash, and one trail bike,\u201d said a police spokesperson.<\/p>\n
A 25-year-old man was taken into custody in relation to these located items.<\/p>\n
Police said the man is due to appear in court at a later date charged with traffic offending and drug-related charges.<\/p>\n
The two youth will be referred to Youth Court.<\/p>\n

Police urge anyone who witnesses any anti-social dirt bike use, to contact them on 111 immediately.<\/p>\n
