The two races this weekend mark the halfway point of the 2025\/2026 season, and Evans\u2019 Jaguar TCS Racing team will be looking to maintain their race-winning momentum. <\/p>\n
The British team have won half the races this season, with Evans and teammate Antonio Felix Da Costa having four race wins between them.<\/p>\n
Jaguar TCS Racing are now second in the Teams\u2019 World Championship and also second in the manufacturers\u2019 standings.<\/p>\n
Evans has five of the team\u2019s six podium finishes in Monaco to his name, including a famous victory in 2024, while Da Costa has also tasted success by winning the 2021 Monaco E\u2011Prix.<\/p>\n
\u201cI always look forward to racing in Monaco and off the back of our recent strong form and my win in Berlin, it is great to come into this weekend with some positive momentum,\u201d said Evans.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is effectively my home race and, having won in Monaco previously and been on the podium on multiple occasions, I can\u2019t wait to race around such an iconic track once again.\u201d<\/p>\n
Evans produced one of the standout drives of the season on the Tempelhof Street circuit, rocketing from P17 on the grid to take the chequered flag. <\/p>\n
The Kiwi was spot on with his heavy energy saving, challenging four-wide pack racing and constant position changes. He executed a perfectly judged strategy and was able to control the race once he got to the front.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat was an amazing result after what\u2019s been a difficult weekend, and we worked hard for it. We\u2019ve been struggling for one lap pace, so I wanted to try something different, which is why I saved tyres for the race.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe team backed me on that call and then together we executed a perfect race. We were patient early on, then attacked at the right time and I felt comfortable once we got to the front.\u201d <\/p>\n
There is a certain irony to Evans\u2019 recent form as he has announced he would be leaving the Jaguar team he\u2019s spent his entire Formula E career with.<\/p>\n
His decision will bring an end to a 10-year ride that began when Jaguar made its motorsport return towards the end of Formula E\u2019s Gen1 era in 2016-17. <\/p>\n
Over this period, Evans became the face of Jaguar\u2019s Formula E programme and he finished runner-up twice in the championship.<\/p>\n
It wasn\u2019t all smooth sailing and things were tense at times, especially after some odd strategy calls, including one in 2024 that cost Evans and Cassidy \u2013 then Evans\u2019 team-mate \u2013 that title in 2024.<\/p>\n
Gen4 car regulation changes in 2026\/2027 have provided an ideal opportunity for Evans to look around for other options. <\/p>\n
Jaguar\u2019s time in Formula E has been cursed by missed opportunities. <\/p>\n
While the team has been fighting at the front of the field over the past six seasons, it has only scored one teams\u2019 championship and no drivers\u2019 titles.<\/p>\n
Apart from 2024, Jaguar lost another title in 2021 when a mechanical problem meant Evans\u2019 car failed to start in the Berlin finale.<\/p>\n
Cassidy also left Jaguar at the end of last season, joining Citroen team as part of an all-new line-up.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo have been with Jaguar TCS Racing right from the beginning and achieved so much success throughout the last 10 years in Formula E has been incredible,\u201d Evans said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt has been a memorable experience and there have been so many highlights throughout our journey together, but the time is right to embark on a new challenge for next season.<\/p>\n
