Enquiries are in the very early stages.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mplxTcLUMibHPxLgQP\" style=\"display:none\">Deidre Alderson, Ministry of Education director of education T\u0101maki Makaurau, confirmed police were investigating \u201cmatters relating to the school\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mplxTcLUMibHPxLgQP\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cThe school is open and operating as usual, and we are providing support as needed. We are unable to comment further at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mplxTcLUMibHPxLgQP\" style=\"display:none\">In a message to the community yesterday, Bush said the school was aware of \u201cfactually inaccurate\u201d information circulating. <\/p>\n<p class=\"mplxTcLUMibHPxLgQP\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cWe would love to provide those facts, but because a police investigation has commenced, we are unable to do so.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mplxTcLUMibHPxLgQP\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cWe appreciate that this may be frustrating for members of our community who understandably want clarity. <\/p>\n<p class=\"mplxTcLUMibHPxLgQP\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cWe would like to provide more information now, but I assure you we will when the investigation is complete.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mplxTcLUMibHPxLgQP\" style=\"display:none\">His message said the board remained focused on supporting the school to ensure the school community continued to experience \u201cpositive learning opportunities\u201c. <\/p>\n<p class=\"mplxTcLUMibHPxLgQP\" style=\"display:none\">When questioned about the board departures, Pukekohe North School presiding board member Ioane Iaone said processes were underway after the resignations and the remaining members were \u201cdisappointed\u201d. <\/p>\n<p class=\"mplxTcLUMibHPxLgQP\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cI am working with the board and the Ministry of Education to ensure the right systems and oversight are in place,\u201d Iaone said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mplxTcLUMibHPxLgQP\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cThe priority is stability while the school provides a safe environment and a good education for all students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mplxTcLUMibHPxLgQP\" style=\"display:none\">He said the school was running as usual, with experienced leadership in place and no disruption to student learning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mplxTcLUMibHPxLgQP\" style=\"display:none\">Asked about the resignations, Alderson said the agency was aware of the departures and working closely with the school and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nzherald.co.nz\/nz\/education\/statutory-manager-appointed-to-take-over-pukekohe-north-school-board\/RC5ICBXWLVHGDO5XQLRHSPI2RE\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.nzherald.co.nz\/nz\/education\/statutory-manager-appointed-to-take-over-pukekohe-north-school-board\/RC5ICBXWLVHGDO5XQLRHSPI2RE\/\"> its limited statutory manager on next steps.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mplxTcLUMibHPxLgQP\" style=\"display:none\">Since two elected members remained, including the presiding member, Alderson said the board could continue to govern the school. <\/p>\n<p class=\"mplxTcLUMibHPxLgQP\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cBecause of this, we are not appointing a commissioner;
