Emergency services rushed to Auckland Airport after a reports of fire on an incoming plane.<\/p>\n

Ambulances were on standby as the plane landed safely before noon on Friday.<\/p>\n

Fire and Emergency New Zealand said it alerted to an emergency at 11.05am on Friday morning.<\/p>\n

Hato Hone St John would not confirm if there had been any injuries.<\/p>\n

“We have received reports a Qantas flight from Sydney had a fire on board,” a spokesperson said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The airfield was returning to normal about midday, but there could be some slight delays for departing and arriving flights.<\/p>\n

Sixteen fire trucks from the Auckland area responded to the incident.<\/p>\n

Several ambulances were idling near the tarmac.<\/p>\n
