It’s sold as the EZ-6 in China and is based on the platform of the Deepal [Changan’s EV brand] SL03.

However, the styling is Mazda-specific and the 6e to be sold in NZ has a chassis tuned in Europe.

Now, the only missing piece of the Mazda NZ 2026 product puzzle is the SUV version of the 6e, the CX-6e. The company has confirmed its arrival this year, but is yet to announce pricing. But the 6e provides a further clue: presumably, the SUV will be priced just above the $59k sedan.

Advertise with NZME.

Mazda’s first-ever pure-electric sedan, set for Kiwi launch in spring.
