iOS 27 will be unveiled on June 8 at WWDC<\/a>, and rumors indicate the software update could drop support for four iPhone models. Here are the details.<\/p>\n

iOS 27 might not support iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and more<\/p>\n

We\u2019re getting close to Apple\u2019s big iOS 27 unveiling at WWDC, with rumored features that include Siri\u2019s major overhaul<\/a>, Liquid Glass design changes<\/a>, and more<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But will your iPhone support the new update?<\/p>\n

Some years Apple drops compatibility for older iPhone models, while at other times it doesn\u2019t. But a recent leak indicates there will be a change coming with iOS 27.<\/p>\n

Last month Weibo leaker Instant Digital posted a full list<\/a> of what\u2019s claimed to be all iOS 27-supported iPhone models.<\/p>\n

Four models that can run iOS 26 are missing from the list:<\/p>\n

iPhone\u00a011\u00a0Pro\u00a0Max<\/p>\n

iPhone\u00a011\u00a0Pro<\/p>\n

iPhone\u00a011<\/p>\n

iPhone\u00a0SE (2nd generation)<\/p>\n

Per the leaker\u2019s post, iOS 27 will require an iPhone 12 or later. And while iOS 26 supported the second-gen iPhone SE, the new update will only run on iPhone SE 3 or later.<\/p>\n

If this proves true, it will make two years in a row that Apple dropped several iPhone models from its major iOS update. Last year the iPhone XS generation<\/a> missed out.<\/p>\n

Apple will continue supporting iOS 26 with new updates, but they\u2019ll be limited to bug fixes and security improvements after iOS 27 debuts.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s worth noting, however, that many of iOS 27\u2019s tentpole features are expected to involve Apple Intelligence\u2014which requires iPhone 15 Pro or later. <\/p>\n

So even if your iPhone can still run iOS 27, it may or may not support all of the forthcoming features.<\/p>\n
