The report shows no monetary distributions were made to any class of creditor during the liquidation. <\/p>\n

Preferential creditors missed<\/a> out on about $145,315, including a claim of $144,708 from Inland Revenue.<\/p>\n

Unsecured creditor claims totalled $1,009,250, including an amended unsecured claim of $967,906 submitted by the former secured creditor. <\/p>\n

The liquidators said they realised just over $3000 during the process.<\/p>\n

Chandra bought Sidart in 2021 from restaurateurs Sid and Chand Sahrawat, who opened the restaurant in 2009.<\/p>\n

Sidart was named Cuisine Good Food Awards\u2019 Restaurant of the Year in 2019.<\/p>\n

In a Facebook post last year, Chandra said the decision to close Sidart was \u201cdifficult\u201d.<\/p>\n

After the announcement of the closure, the Sahrawats told the Herald they were \u201cdeeply saddened to see Sidart close its doors\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe past couple of years have been tough for all hospitality operators, and our hearts go out to owner Lesley Chandra and his team as we know they worked extremely hard to try and keep the doors open.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Auckland waterfront restaurant Harbourside Ocean Bar Grill<\/a> announced it would close permanently on June 13 after opening in 1988.<\/p>\n

Owner Good Group Hospitality said the restaurant was \u201cno longer commercially viable\u201d.<\/p>\n

And last month, Auckland cafe and bar Verona<\/a> went into liquidation after 34 years in business.<\/p>\n
