THERE was a good turnout this morning for the free Financial Literacy Event at The Ashe Hotel.<\/p>\n

The aim of the event was to bring together local and national supports to help people build confidence around everyday financial decisions.<\/p>\n

There was a focus on keeping your money safe from fraud, tips on budgeting, preparing for financial emergencies and information on the supports that are available locally.<\/p>\n

After a chance for attendees to visit all the stands and enjoy a morning cuppa and pastries, there was a Q+A panel discussion featuring representatives from\u00a0\u00a0MABS, Kerry ETB , AIB and An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na offering practical information and guidance, as well as signposting to supports available locally.<\/p>\n

The event was supported and endorsed by all other financial institutions in Tralee including BOI, Cara Credit Union, PTSB and An Post.<\/p>\n
