Charli rung in this new era by announcing a pivot to rock music, then backtracking by saying, &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/charli_xcx\/status\/2050250024248856829?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">i never said i was making a rock album<\/a>.&#8221; But &#8220;Playboy Bunny&#8221;? It&#8217;s rock music. More specifically, it&#8217;s a sassy shoegaze anthem. It&#8217;s got fuzzy, atmospheric guitars and lines like, &#8220;All my music sounds the same\/ Well, that&#8217;s because I made it.&#8221; It&#8217;s too good to be a b-side, but maybe all this b-side fuss is just promo and she&#8217;ll eventually throw it on streaming.
