{"id":444115,"date":"2026-05-25T08:35:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-25T08:35:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/444115\/"},"modified":"2026-05-25T08:35:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-25T08:35:08","slug":"nine-week-dragon-sculpture-trail-to-head-to-wolverhampton-in-2027","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/444115\/","title":{"rendered":"Nine-week dragon sculpture trail to head to Wolverhampton in 2027"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A free nine-week art trail featuring dozens of colourful dragon sculptures will come to Wolverhampton next summer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Trail of the Dragons will run from 5 July to 5 September 2027 and feature 30 sculptured designed by national and regional artists, installed at key locations across the city.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">At the end of the trail, the dragons will be auctioned off to raise money for local charity, Compton Care. They provides specialist palliative care and bereavement support to people living with life-limiting conditions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">As well as the large dragons, 30 smaller babies, or hatchlings, decorated by local schools and community groups, will be displayed in indoor locations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A free nine-week art trail featuring dozens of colourful dragon sculptures will come to Wolverhampton next summer.
