Prolific Christchurch developer Williams Corporation has unveiled its plans for a new 10-storey tower in the central city.<\/p>\n
It will be the tallest building built since the earthquakes and be part of a $103m, six-building, 140-residence complex featuring \u201cresort-grade\u201d amenities across a city block.<\/p>\n
The project is called Williams on Worcester. It will be bound by Worcester St, Manchester St, Gloucester St, and Huanui Lane.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a full city block, one of the last available in central Christchurch and we\u2019ve designed it as a single connected community rather than six standalone buildings,\u201d Williams Corporation director Blair Chappell told the\u00a0New Zealand Herald.<\/p>\n
The project has a targeted completion date of early 2028.<\/p>\n
The build will feature the 10-storey landmark tower, five three-storey apartment buildings, and a private resort-grade amenity stack that includes a heated indoor pool, a covered padel court, a gym and the rooftop terrace.<\/p>\n
The site sits a few blocks north of One NZ Stadium and another major development that Williams Corporation is involved with, Richard Peebles\u2019 Downtown.<\/p>\n
The properties will range from studios to large two-bedroom penthouses.<\/p>\n
