Created and written by Last One Laughing\u2019s breakout star Sam Campbell, and directed by Don\u2019t Hug Me I\u2019m Scared\u2019s Joe Pelling, this new comedy about a director who turns ordinary people\u2019s movie ideas into reality is inevitably absurdist fun. First up is Mick, who pitches a man and a woman who can turn into snakes. Cue real snake auditions, a creepy intimacy coordinator called Sebastian and a great pan pipe theme tune. The architect and the garden designer Luke Millard return with the series that helps people pull off their ambitious renovation dreams. They\u2019re in Bromley first, with couple (and experienced renovators!) Mitch and Elliot \u2013 but there is panic as a house flood threatens to ruin their plans for a curve-arched kitchen. Series five of the real-life nailbiter opens with Larissa, a 16-year-old runaway from Glasgow who lives with bipolar disorder. As the police try to track her down, Larissa\u2019s mum says she felt something was \u201coff\u201d with her for a couple of days. This sign-of-the-times documentary covers 18 months in the lives of John Lennon and Yoko Ono after they moved to New York in 1971, and is a riveting snapshot of a febrile period in US history (Vietnam, Nixon etc). Pivoting around a benefit gig the ex-Beatle organised for institutionalised mentally ill children, it mixes home movies, contemporary TV footage and remarkable private phone calls to follow the couple as they dip their toes in political causes, fashion and a new life away from Britain.
