We\u2019ve reviewed the Xiaomi 17T Pro here<\/a>, and there are a few key differences between it and the slightly smaller, slightly less expensive Xiaomi 17T.<\/p>\n

On the front is a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen with a 2756 x 1268 pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, and it\u2019s covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.<\/p>\n

Inside is a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor and 12GB of RAM, plus a choice of 256GB or 512GB of storage space. The phone has Android 16 installed and Xiaomi\u2019s HyperOS interface.<\/p>\n

On the back is a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 main camera, a 50MP telephoto for 5x optical zoom shots, and a 12MP wide-angle camera. Above the screen is a 32MP selfie camera.<\/p>\n

The Xiaomi 17T also has a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 67W wired charging, dual speakers, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0, and NFC.<\/p>\n

The 6.59-inch screen makes the Xiaomi 17T feel a lot more compact than the 17T Pro, but it\u2019s still quite a chunky phone at 8.17mm thick, and heavier than a lot of the competition at 200 grams.<\/p>\n

However, I love the thin, uniform bezel around the screen, making the phone look modern and sleek. The size of the phone is just about right, as it\u2019s easy to hold in one hand, yet still has a sensible-sized screen.<\/p>\n

The edges of the chassis are comfortable to grip, and the thinner camera module compared to the Xiaomi 17 avoids fatigue when using the phone in portrait orientation. It has an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.<\/p>\n

It feels solid and well-made, but the plastic rear panel is a slight disappointment. It has a more hollow sound and feel to it compared to the much cheaper Google Pixel 10a.<\/p>\n

Xiaomi 17T colors<\/p>\n

Xiaomi makes the Xiaomi 17T in Opal White, black, blue, and a special Violet color. You can see the violet phone in our photos, but what makes it special is that you can match other new Xiaomi products to it.<\/p>\n

The Xiaomi Sound Play<\/a> Bluetooth speaker also comes in violet, as do the new Xiaomi Buds 6<\/a> earbuds. What I like most is that they don\u2019t exactly match, but instead complement each other through slightly different shades.<\/p>\n

I always appreciate manufacturers experimenting with colors outside the standard black and white, and Xiaomi\u2019s violet hue looks great on all its new products.<\/p>\n

Xiaomi 17T price and availability<\/p>\n

Xiaomi doesn\u2019t sell its smartphones in the US, but there\u2019s a good chance the Xiaomi 17T will be released in the UK soon.<\/p>\n

The company has only provided a price in Euros at the time of writing, and it will cost 749 euros when it\u2019s released.
