Audio entertainment platform Pocket FM is witnessing another senior-level departure as Mayank Sancheti, Senior Vice President at the company, has stepped down from his role, according to sources aware of the matter.<\/p>\n
Sancheti has already put down his papers and is currently serving his notice period, said a person familiar with the development, requesting anonymity.<\/p>\n
Sancheti has been associated with Pocket FM for several years and has played a key role across product, monetisation, and growth initiatives. Before joining Pocket FM, he worked with global mobility giants Grab and Uber in strategy and product-focused roles.<\/p>\n
Pocket FM declined to comment on the story, while Mayank Sancheti did not respond to our specific queries.<\/p>\n
The development comes shortly after Entrackr exclusively reported the departure of Pocket FM\u2019s Chief Financial Officer<\/a> Anurag Sharma, who is also serving his notice period and is leaving to explore entrepreneurial opportunities.<\/p>\n The company is reportedly set to appoint Abhilash Padival, Director of India Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, as its new CFO.<\/p>\n The back-to-back exits come at a time when Pocket FM is sharpening its focus on profitability and operational efficiency. Last month, the company laid off more than 100 employees<\/a> as part of a restructuring exercise aimed at reducing costs and streamlining operations, as first reported by Entrackr.<\/p>\n Founded in 2018 by Rohan Nayak, Nishanth KS, and Prateek Dixit, Pocket FM operates a multilingual audio entertainment platform with a growing international presence, including in the US and Europe.
