Brad Pitt\u2019s son Maddox has officially filed paperwork to remove his father\u2019s last name from his own. <\/p>\n
The 24-year-old, who was adopted by Angelina in 2002, and later by Brad in 2006, filed to legally remove \u201cPitt\u201d from his surname on Thursday.<\/p>\n
He will now go by Maddox Chivan Jolie, and listed the reason for his name change as \u201cpersonal\u201d. <\/p>\n
Maddox hinted at the change earlier this year when he worked on Jolie\u2019s new movie, Coutoure, and was credited as \u201cMaddox Jolie\u201d. <\/p>\n
He\u2019s become the latest of Pitt\u2019s kids to drop the his surname from their name. <\/p>\n
Shiloh, the ex-couple\u2019s first biological child, decided to remove the surname as soon as she turned 18.<\/p>\n
Sisters Vivienne Marcheline and Zahara Marley have also both publicly changed their surnames to \u201cJolie\u201d in public. <\/p>\n
Since their messy split, Pitt has been mostly estranged from Angelina and all of their children despite him having visitation time included as a stipulation in their divorce.<\/p>\n
A source close to the former couple has claimed that while Pitt remains a popular figure within Hollywood, he\u2019s become nothing more than a pariah to his children. <\/p>\n
A pal of the former couple told the Daily Mail<\/a>: \u201cThere has been a campaign of alienation [by Jolie] which has been successful. The antagonism is huge. He has been alienated from the kids completely. It is devastating to him.\u201d<\/p>\n
