Denis announced in February that she would step away from her morning role. Her final broadcast is scheduled for June 26.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bellmedia.ca\/the-lede\/press\/nat-hunter-and-josie-dye-named-new-hosts-of-chum-104-5-morning-show\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Bell Media\u2019s CHUM says<\/a> the new show will blend Hunter and Dye\u2019s trademark energy with hit music, local stories, trending topics, and entertainment news.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf there was ever a job worth waiting to come home for, it\u2019s this one,\u201d Hunter said, reflecting on her two\u2011decade journey from Ontario to Vancouver and back again. \u201cIt\u2019s an incredible honour to follow the legend that is Marilyn Denis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dye, who currently hosts CHUM\u2019s afternoon show, called the opportunity \u201ca dream,\u201d adding that teaming up with Hunter \u201cwill be epic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hunter and Dye \u2018a natural fit,\u2019 program director says<\/p>\n<p>Hunter was born in Etobicoke and raised in Burlington before pursuing journalism school and ultimately shifting into the more upbeat world of music radio. Her early career included brief stops at stations across Ontario, followed by a move to Vancouver, where she became a co\u2011host of MOVE 103.5\u2019s morning show.<\/p>\n<p>Dye has built a 25\u2011year career in Toronto radio and television, and she currently hosts CHUM 104.5\u2019s afternoon show alongside Jamar McNeil.
