{"id":451484,"date":"2026-05-29T17:51:16","date_gmt":"2026-05-29T17:51:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/451484\/"},"modified":"2026-05-29T17:51:16","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T17:51:16","slug":"miami-chef-earns-first-michelin-star-ever-for-kosher-restaurant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/451484\/","title":{"rendered":"Miami chef earns first Michelin star ever for kosher restaurant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The prestigious Michelin Guide awarded Miami\u2019s Mutra restaurant with a star on Thursday, a first for any kosher restaurant worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>The eatery, opened a year ago under the leadership of Israeli chef Raz Shabtai, is inspired by the various immigrant food traditions of Jerusalem.<\/p>\n<p>It is the first restaurant anywhere to receive a new Michelin star in 2026, as the prestigious guide revealed its expanded Florida selection of 200 restaurants for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve always believed kosher dining deserves the same ambition and creativity as any great restaurant in the world,\u201d Shabtai said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGrowing up in Jerusalem, I was surrounded by incredible flavors, spices and food that told stories.
