\n Clarendon Fine Art will present MARILYN 100, a new body of work by contemporary artist Russell Young, as part of official centenary celebrations for Monroe, whose image came to define modern celebrity.\n<\/p>\n
\n The collection has been developed in collaboration with the Marilyn Monroe estate and Authentic Brands Group, and was first unveiled at Art Miami during Art Basel week.\n<\/p>\n

\n The works are part of a wider international programme of events and partnerships, including collaborations with Formula 1 and Piper-Heidsieck Champagne, which has featured Young\u2019s art on a limited edition bottle.\n<\/p>\n
\n Russell Young is known for his striking use of iconic imagery.\n<\/p>\n
\n Before moving into fine art, he photographed the cover of George Michael\u2019s Faith album and worked with music legends including Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, and Bj\u00f6rk.\n<\/p>\n
\n He also made over 100 music videos during the height of MTV.\n<\/p>\n
\n His latest work revisits Monroe through a more introspective and emotionally charged lens.\n<\/p>\n
\n Created using hand-pulled silkscreens on linen, the pieces use custom-blended colours and are finished with diamond dust, creating a shimmering effect on the surface.\n<\/p>\n
\n The diamond dust, Young says, represents both the allure and the cost of fame, capturing the brilliance of Monroe\u2019s public image while hinting at the vulnerability beneath.\n<\/p>\n
\n Young\u2019s connection to Monroe also carries an art historical link; he uses a printmaking press once operated by Andy Warhol, who transformed Monroe into a pop art icon in the 1960s.\n<\/p>\n
\n In addition to Monroe, the collection also features other cultural icons, including Marlon Brando, Brigitte Bardot, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, Muhammad Ali, and Kate Moss.\n<\/p>\n
