\"Bobby Bobby Deol recently opened up about his childhood and revealed how his mother, Prakash Kaur, would discipline him for not taking his studies seriously. Appearing on Aap Ki Adaalat, Bobby shared several amusing memories from his school days, admitting that he was never fond of attending classes and often got into trouble at home because of it.Bobby and his elder brother, Sunny Deol, have frequently spoken about their mother’s strength and dedication in raising the family alongside late superstar Dharmendra. While she was a caring parent, Bobby revealed that she was also the disciplinarian in the household.<\/p>\n

\u2018I used to get beaten a lot for not going to school\u2019<\/p>\n

During the conversation, host Rajat Sharma remarked that Bobby was reportedly good at studies. The actor was quick to dismiss the claim.\u201cNot at all,\u201d Bobby said.He went on to explain, \u201cI used to get beaten a lot for not going to school. I actually did not like school. And my problem was that when I was young, I used to speak mostly in Hindi. Since the school was English medium, my mother used to get complaints from the school that if your son talks in Hindi then you should put him in Hindi medium.\u201dThe actor said the complaints from school would often lead to scoldings at home. However, he eventually worked hard on improving his English and became so comfortable with the language that he now mostly thinks in English. <\/p>\n

\u2018My mother used to take me to school while beating me\u2019<\/p>\n

Recalling one particularly memorable incident, Bobby shared how his mother would sometimes escort him to school while disciplining him along the way.\u201cSo sometimes, early in the morning, luckily my house was nearby, so my mother used to take me to school while beating me,\u201d he said.The actor also remembered an encounter with his school principal that only made matters worse for him.\u201cThe principal was standing there one day, he looked at my mother and said, \u2018Your son does not want to study, take him back right now\u2019. I instantly felt he should not have said so, because she took me back home while beating me the whole way again.\u201dBobby added with a laugh, \u201cShe used to beat me with slippers mostly, it was her go-to weapon.\u201d <\/p>\n

Dharmendra and Prakash Kaur married in 1954 and have four children together \u2014 Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeta Deol and Ajita Deol. Dharmendra later married Hema Malini in 1980.On the work front, Bobby will next be seen in Bandar, directed by Anurag Kashyap. The action thriller is scheduled to hit theatres on June 5.
