Antoni Porowski<\/a> is opening up about the rocky end of Queer Eye<\/a>.<\/p>\n The 42-year-old star of the long-running Netflix<\/a> reboot of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy got candid about the show\u2019s conclusion in an interview with Variety<\/a> <\/p>\n The interview comes months after Karamo Brown<\/a> pulled out of a CBS Mornings segment due to fears of bullying<\/a>, and after a 2024 Rolling Stone investigation about Jonathan Van Ness<\/a>\u2019\u00a0alleged abusive behavior<\/a>, which Jonathan denied.<\/p>\n \u201cFor anybody who\u2019s paying attention to how all of that ended, I was sad that I felt like it served as a distraction in honoring the countless people who\u2019ve worked on the show from day one up until the very end, and those who have come and gone \u2014 both in front of and behind the camera,\u201d Antoni said of the conclusion of the series.<\/p>\n \u201cIf I\u2019m honest, I think I\u2019m left with more questions than answers, but what I hope is that the people who honor the show understand the help that we did and the commitment we [had].\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI refuse to let however it ended be a distraction from the messaging because the messaging, I swear to you, was always real and always coming from a truthful place. That\u2019s what I choose to take with me from it,\u201d he went on to say.<\/p>\n He added that he\u2019s still in touch with \u201csome\u201d of the cast, adding: \u201cWho knows what the future holds?\u201d <\/p>\n Antoni also said he was mpressed by Nate Berkus and co-star Jeremiah Brent\u2018s Portuguese farm.<\/a><\/p>\n He also wants fans to remember that the co-stars \u201cwere cast as complete strangers.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe only person I\u2019d ever heard of was [Jonathan Van Ness] with \u2018Gay of Thrones,\u2019 because I used to watch it. We didn\u2019t know who we were, and we\u2019re very different people, different ways of navigating the world as is the case. We were put into this thing together, and we all dealt with things in very different ways. Yeah.
