Following recent reports linking Sydney Sweeney to Scooter Braun, a source has confirmed that the actress is enjoying this new chapter in her life after parting ways with her fiancé, Jonathan Davino, earlier this year.

“She’s having fun with Scooter and enjoys dating him,” a source told People Magazine, who previously reported that the duo are “casually” dating.

The insider also confirmed that Sweeney’s September 12 birthday was spent with Braun, and that she had a “great time” with the 44-year-old record executive, due to his easygoing energy, which she finds refreshing.

“He’s engaging, down-to-earth, and she likes being around him,” the source added about Justin Bieber’s former manager.

Even with her personal life making headlines, Sweeney reportedly remains “focused” on her thriving career. The actress has returned to work and is channeling her energy into upcoming projects, including the much-anticipated third season of Euphoria.

Although neither Sweeney nor Scooter has publicly confirmed they are a couple, they have fueled speculation by spending more time together in recent weeks.

Sources claimed the two were together over Labor Day weekend, enjoying a lakeside getaway at Lake Tahoe.

They were said to have spent the time “getting to know one another,” and Braun has reportedly enjoyed every moment.

“He’s loving spending time with her and seeing where things go,” a source said about the entrepreneur.

The weekend getaway follows Sweeney and Braun’s attendance at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s June wedding in Venice, Italy, where sources confirmed they already “had something going on” at the time.

“They hung out in Italy for the Bezos wedding,” the source revealed about the duo. “Syd was intrigued — Scooter’s a charmer. He’s confident, but also sweet and very attentive.”

At the time, it was reported that Sweeney “enjoyed the attention” from Braun but wasn’t eager to dive into another relationship.

Instead, the actress was focused on prioritizing her career goals for the year.

As to why Sweeney ended her Davino earlier in the year, a source shared back in March that the actress felt it wasn’t the right move to get married at the time.

“She didn’t feel right about it,” a source revealed, per People Magazine. “She is in the middle of this magical career that she could only dream of a few years ago. This is what she wants to focus on right now. She’s not ready to settle down.”

The insider also shut down any speculation that the relationship ended due to a lack of love.

“They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off,” the source continued. “They didn’t split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.”

Already, one of Sweeney’s projects, which she was focused on, debuted to a standing ovation at the Toronto International Film Festival and is set to hit theaters on November 7.

The movie, Christy, follows the life of Christy Martin, a fiery female boxer who “fought battles inside and outside the ring.”

For the role, Sweeney underwent a major physical transformation, including three months of intense training to mirror the toned physique of the professional boxer.

“I started eating. I weight-trained in the morning for an hour, kickboxed midday for about two hours, and then weight-trained again at night for an hour,” she revealed to W Magazine in June. “My body was completely different. But it was amazing: I was so strong, like crazy strong.”

Earlier this month, the actress revealed even more shocking details about the project’s creation,

“Every single fight you see, we are actually punching each other. We are going full force,” Sweeney said during an interview with Vanity Fair. “I always believed that you would not be able to make it feel real if it’s a stunt double or if it’s faking the hits.”

Sydney Sweeney has found comfort in a new partner following her split from longtime fiancé Jonathan Davino.
