{"id":457635,"date":"2026-06-02T20:17:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-02T20:17:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/457635\/"},"modified":"2026-06-02T20:17:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T20:17:10","slug":"ios-26-5-1-for-iphone-17-and-iphone-air-fixes-low-battery-charging-problem-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/457635\/","title":{"rendered":"iOS 26.5.1 for iPhone 17 and iPhone Air Fixes Low-Battery Charging Problem"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"u-speakableText-p1\">Apple on Tuesday\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/123075\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"(opens in a new window)\" class=\"c-regularLink\">released iOS 26.5.1<\/a>, a small update that targets a potentially big problem if you find yourself with a dead <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/tech\/mobile\/apple-iphone-17-review\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"c-shortcodeLink c-shortcodeLink-active\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone 17<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/tech\/mobile\/apple-iphone-17-pro-iphone-17-pro-max-review\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"c-shortcodeLink c-shortcodeLink-active\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone 17 Pro<\/a>, iPhone 17 Pro Max or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/tech\/mobile\/apple-iphone-air-review\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"c-shortcodeLink c-shortcodeLink-active\" target=\"_blank\">iPhone Air<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"u-speakableText-p2\">For &#8220;a small number of users,&#8221; according to Apple&#8217;s note accompanying the update, when the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnet.com\/tech\/mobile\/features\/phone-battery-life-silicon-carbon-what-next\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"c-shortcodeLink c-shortcodeLink-active\" target=\"_blank\">battery<\/a> gets nearly completely drained, recharging via cable would not work.
