Netflix<\/a> has had plenty of shows explode in popularity and earn multiple seasons worth of renewals, but few are as popular as The Lincoln Lawyer<\/a>. The show is adapted from a series of novels from acclaimed crime writer Michael Connelly<\/a>, who is also famous for his work writing the books that inspired Titus Welliver<\/a>\u2019s Bosch<\/a> series. Matthew McConaughey<\/a> once starred in a film adaptation of The Lincoln Lawyer, but most fans of the source material would agree that Netflix\u2019s TV version starring Manuel Garcia-Rulfo is a much more faithful retelling. While Netflix did renew The Lincoln Lawyer for Season 5<\/a>, the streamer has confirmed that it will be the final season of the show. This leaves Netflix without a new flagship legal thriller, but the streamer may have just found one perfect for a multiple-season arc.<\/p>\n

News broke<\/a> this afternoon that Netflix is officially developing a remake of the 1979 Al Pacino<\/a> film, And Justice For All. Jeremy Miller and Dan Cohn are in the early stages of writing the project, and it\u2019s being described as a \u201cgritty look inside an idealistic attorney\u2019s flawed life as he struggles with a corrupted legal system until he finally snaps.\u201d It\u2019s unclear at this time who is going to star in the project or when it will begin filming or be released, but Netflix has a history of working fast when it comes to new TV shows, so it\u2019s not out of the realm of possibility for it to be released as soon as next year. Al Pacino is reportedly not involved with the remake in any capacity, but The Lincoln Lawyer EP Ross Fineman is said to be producing the show.<\/p>\n
