He was so wonderful and generous to me all those years ago, when we recorded Beauty and the Beast. Two years later, the soundtrack classic won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals. It also earned nominations for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cWhen \u2018Beauty and the Beast\u2019 was offered to Peabo Bryson and myself, for a movie that was about to come out, Beauty and the Beast, I was amazed that I was considered to sing with Peabo Bryson that I knew and that I really enjoyed and loved, and it became a very huge success,\u201d Dion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DTXwDWACEJC\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:said in a video;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;said in a video&quot;}\" class=\"link \">said in a video <\/a>shared earlier this year. \u201cPeabo Bryson and myself are very privileged that we are part of this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Bryson died following a stroke and \u201ctransitioned peacefully at 5:00 p.m. ET on the evening of Tuesday, June 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and those closest to him,\u201d his family shared.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cHe will remain for me always as a real symbol of the joy that music has brought to my life.
