Crunchyroll<\/a> added the first 12 mini-episodes of\u00a0the television anime<\/a> of Jinushi<\/a>‘s Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You<\/a> (Super no Ura de Yani S\u016b Futari<\/a>) manga on Wednesday. Each episode is 10 minutes long and together they present episodes 1-6 of the anime in “chronological order.”<\/p>\n Crunchyroll’s debut of the episodes corresponds with the anime’s\u00a0limited<\/a> advance streaming on the ABEMA<\/a> streaming service in Japan, which debuted<\/a>\u00a0on Wednesday.<\/p>\n The anime will premiere<\/a> on TBS<\/a> and 27 other channels in July and will air every Thursday at 11:56 p.m. JST. Crunchyroll is\u00a0streaming<\/a> the anime in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and India.<\/p>\n The anime stars:<\/p>\n Tadato Suzuki<\/a> (Gushing Over Magical Girls<\/a>) and Aoi Mori<\/a> (Gushing Over Magical Girls, Teogonia<\/a> episode director) are directing the anime at Asahi Production<\/a>. Mio Inoue<\/a> (A Mangaka’s Weirdly Wonderful Workplace<\/a>, My Awkward Senpai<\/a>) is in charge of series scripts, and Yasuka \u014ctaki<\/a> (Gushing Over Magical Girls, A Galaxy Next Door<\/a>) is designing the characters. Shin K\u014dno<\/a> (Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card<\/a>, Arte<\/a>, Revenger<\/a> theme song arrangement) and Sayaka Aoki<\/a> (I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss<\/a>, Girlfriend, Girlfriend<\/a>, The Water Magician<\/a>) are composing the music, and K\u014dhei Yoshida<\/a> (Dark Gathering<\/a>, Killed Again, Mr. Detective?<\/a>, A Star Brighter Than the Sun<\/a>) is the sound director.<\/p>\n The rock band ZUTOMAYO<\/a> is performing the anime’s opening theme song. Musician imase<\/a> performs the ending theme song “Fiction.”<\/p>\n Manga UP! Global<\/a> added<\/a> the manga in April 2023 and describes the story:<\/p>\n Meet Sasaki, an overworked, middle-aged office worker. His days are marked only by the passing of more unrewarding corporate drudgery. Smoking helps take the edge off, but other than that, the only bright spot of his day is when he goes to the nearby supermarket and sees Yamada’s smiling face. So, one evening after yet another exhausting day, he heads to the supermarket to find he missed Yamada’s shift. Dejected, he decides to go find a smoking area but discovers there isn’t one to be found. Just as he’s about to leave, a girl in a biker jacket named Tayama asks him to join her at a secret smoking area!<\/p>\n Jinushi launched the manga on X\/Twitter in March 2022, and the series then began serialization in Square Enix<\/a>‘s Big Gangan<\/a> magazine in August 2022. Square Enix shipped the eighth compiled book volume of the manga on January 23.<\/p>\n Square Enix Manga & Books<\/a> began releasing<\/a> the manga in English in February 2024. The company willl ship the manga’s seventh volume on July 7. Comikey<\/a> also began releasing<\/a> the manga in English digitally in May 2023. The manga is also available<\/a> in English on BookWalker<\/a>.<\/p>\n
