Director Christopher Nolan\u2019s The Odyssey<\/a> has been rated \u201cR\u201d by the Motion Picture Association, which means filmgoers under the age of 17 will be required to have a parent or guardian accompany them when screening the film.<\/p>\n

As Variety<\/a> points out, most of Nolan\u2019s other summer movies, such as his Dark Knight trilogy, earned PG-13 ratings, although an R rating didn\u2019t prevent Oppenheimer from earning over $330 million at the domestic box office.<\/p>\n

The trade also reports that audience demand for premium format tickets such as IMAX 70mm \u201cappears to be so high that AMC\u2018s ticketing app paused briefly<\/a>. Sales have resumed, but wait times are up to an hour. \u2026 Fandango\u2019s website also appeared to be dragging with users experiencing long wait times.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Odyssey is the first film in history \u2013 and one of Nolan\u2019s longest movies<\/a> \u2013 to be shot entirely in IMAX, a milestone commemorated by the movie\u2019s official popcorn bucket, which is in the shape of an IMAX camera.<\/a><\/p>\n
