As part of the deal, <a href=\"https:\/\/awfulannouncing.com\/wnba\/everything-we-know-broadcast-teams-national-network-partners.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ESPN and ABC will air<\/a> five of the next 11 WNBA Finals and a conference finals series in eight of the 11 seasons, while also retaining rights to the WNBA Draft and All-Star Game, along with \u201cextensive\u201d regular-season inventory.<\/p>\n<p>Susie Piotrkowski, ESPN\u2019s VP of women\u2019s sports programming, has spoken in the past about how the company views Indiana Fever phenom <a href=\"https:\/\/awfulannouncing.com\/espn\/espn-executive-caitlin-clark-gateway-drug-watching-womens-sports.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Caitlin Clark as a \u201cgateway drug\u201d<\/a> to women\u2019s sports. In a no-brainer move to capitalize on Clark\u2019s enormous draw, the Worldwide Leader is leaning further and further into women\u2019s sports coverage, as evidenced by <a href=\"https:\/\/awfulannouncing.com\/espn\/womens-sports-sundays-wnba-nwsl.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Women\u2019s Sports Sundays replacing Sunday Night Baseball\u2019s<\/a> primetime slot on the network this summer.<\/p>\n<p>Now, ESPN is bolstering its already robust WNBA coverage.
