On Thursday night, Seth Meyers<\/a> talked about Donald Trump<\/a> snoozing during meetings and his eyebrow-raising boasts about the size of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo America first patriots, it\u2019s clear he\u2019s simply closing his eyes so he can picture everyone naked,\u201d Meyers joked. \u201cNot for sexual reasons \u2013 it\u2019s just to calm his nerves for when it\u2019s his turn to talk.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s thinking so hard with his brain that it\u2019s draining energy from his eyelids.\u201d<\/p>\n

On 3 June, Marco Rubio<\/a> was asked about Trump dozing off while the secretary of state was testifying before the Senate appropriations committee on the president\u2019s foreign policy.<\/p>\n

When asked if he had been at meetings where Trump fell asleep, Rubio replied: \u201cThat\u2019s false. I\u2019ve never seen him fall asleep. On the contrary, the guy doesn\u2019t sleep, which is a problem because he calls me at two in the morning, he calls me at five in the morning.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, we believe you!\u201d shouted Meyers. That\u2019s why he\u2019s asleep during the day. It\u2019s the same reason the raccoons are asleep whenever you go on a field trip to the Bronx Zoo. They\u2019re up all night looking for a garbage can to knock over, which is also what Trump is probably doing: \u2018There\u2019s gotta be a Big Mac in here.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd don\u2019t bullshit us that he\u2019s working in the middle of the night. We know what he\u2019s doing: he\u2019s posting AI slop of himself as Jesus, or on Mt Rushmore, or riding a horse with George Washington next to a Nascar race while a space shuttle flies overhead.\u201d<\/p>\n

A few weeks ago, Trump posted a seemingly AI-generated photo of himself as a Terminator-like figure blowing up Iran with the caption \u201cNo more Mr Nice Guy\u201d at 4.05am.<\/p>\n

\u201c4am is the most concerning time to do anything on your phone,\u201d said Meyers. \u201cImagine if a friend texted you at 4am: you\u2019d be freaked the fuck out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump insists that while it may appear that he is asleep in meetings next to Rubio or JD Vance, he is in fact playing close attention. \u201cI study to see if they like each other,\u201d he recently told a podcast host. \u201cI just find it interesting. It\u2019s life. It\u2019s big time stuff. Outside of the cabinet too. It\u2019s interesting. Human. The human thing, the human equation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLet me repeat the last line,\u201d said Meyers, before reciting it. \u201cFor a man who claims to study humans, it\u2019s a real shame that he can\u2019t learn how to talk like one.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Trump bragged about the length of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool by showing it side by side with American skyscrapers.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne thing we know for sure is that Trump is definitely obsessed with size, whether it\u2019s sex or construction,\u201d Meyers said, pointing out that none of Trump\u2019s work on the pool changed its size.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are among the tallest buildings in the world,\u201d said Trump. \u201cIf you lay [Chicago\u2019s Sears Tower] on its side, it would take two or three of them to fill it in.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve got to hand it to him: that really is impressive,\u201d said Meyers. \u201cOr it would be if the reflecting pool was fucking vertical! You\u2019re not allowed to compare horizontal to vertical. If that was the case, I-90 crushes the reflecting pool.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the stuff Trump really cares about,\u201d the host concluded. \u201cRenovating the reflecting pool, putting his cronies in charge of intelligence agencies \u2026 Meanwhile prices are soaring, the Iran war is a disaster.
