Photo \/ Supplied<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s going to suit somebody who wants nothing but the best,\u201d Bonne said. \u201cIt\u2019s really exclusive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The property only hit the market on Monday and has already drawn interest from expats looking to return to New Zealand.<\/p>\n<p>The vendors bought the 1548sqm section overlooking New Zealand\u2019s best beach in 2018 for $1.5m. It just doesn\u2019t have the crowds. It suits someone who doesn\u2019t want to have 7000 to 8000 vehicles going past their door each day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The village is a 10-minute walk to Otarawairere Bay and a six-minute drive to \u014chope Beach. It was originally built in the 1960s to house the American executives in charge of building the Tasman Pulp and Paper Mill. The current <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nzherald.co.nz\/rotorua-daily-post\/news\/bay-of-plenty-real-estate-new-record-for-ohope-house-sale-465-million\/C22GSG26LQLQPAD4HSJY5CNNFE\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">sale price record for \u014chope is $4.65m<\/a>, set in January 2022 by a modern beachfront home on Plantation Reserve.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf this sells, it will be \u014chope\u2019s most expensive house.
