Rosie O\u2019Donnell is opening up about her facelift surgery and revealed why she finally decided to be vocal about it.<\/p>\n
\u200bThe 64-year-old comedian first openly talked about her surgery on her Substack last month, noting that she was ashamed of her facelift, which cost her more than she ever invested in a vehicle.<\/p>\n
\u200bNow, during her recent appearance at the Tony Awards in New York City on Sunday night, Rosie shared more details publicly and got honest about how she feels about her plastic surgery procedure.<\/p>\n
\u200bSpeaking to E! News on the red carpet, Rosie said, \u201cAuthenticity is the goal in these days and times, and people are lying about everything all day to the American public.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u200b\u201cIt\u2019s very depressing to me and unsettling, and I think all that matters is truth and love, and so I wanted to be truthful and say all the complicated emotions I had about it.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u200bThe Harriet the Spy star further revealed that her teenage daughter even protested her decision of surgery.<\/p>\n
\u200b\u201cMy little autistic 13-year-old said to me, \u2018If you do it, I would not be able to respect you ever again,’\u201d she noted. \u201cAnd that put me off it for a few months, but then when I went and did it in January, I came home 10 days later, and they never noticed.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u200bRosie admitted that she finds it more convenient to unveil her surgery herself before any media outlet reports it.<\/p>\n
\u200b\u201cI just wanted to say, \u2018This is what I did, and here\u2019s the doctor, and if you want to. But it\u2019s very expensive \u2014 it\u2019s more expensive than any car I ever bought, but I can\u2019t drive around in my face.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u200bAnd Rosie does not have any further plans to get more plastic surgery, as the issue she wanted to resolve, loose skin on her face, has gone now.<\/p>\n
