{"id":469784,"date":"2026-06-10T07:12:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T07:12:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/469784\/"},"modified":"2026-06-10T07:12:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T07:12:09","slug":"coca-cola-new-zealand-reports-bumper-109m-profit-for-2025-pays-125m-dividend-to-parent-company","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/469784\/","title":{"rendered":"Coca-Cola New Zealand reports bumper $109m profit for 2025, pays $125m dividend to parent company"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"xRCtHSZoMFoDBmw\" style=\"display:none\">Income tax paid by the business was relatively flat at $42.3m for the year, although the company did pay a dividend of $125m to its parent Coca-Cola Europacific API Partners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xRCtHSZoMFoDBmw\" style=\"display:none\">Overall the business reported a net profit of $109.2m, up 9.7% from $99.5m the year prior.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xRCtHSZoMFoDBmw\" style=\"display:none\">Coca-Cola New Zealand has been approached for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Category expansion<\/p>\n<p class=\"xRCtHSZoMFoDBmw\" style=\"display:none\">Coca-Cola launched its first branded alcoholic beverage in New Zealand <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nzherald.co.nz\/business\/companies\/retail\/coca-cola-taps-into-alcohol-market-with-new-jack-daniels-collaboration\/premium\/JT2IKLLMYNA77NPEF7GDR2OW7Q\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.nzherald.co.nz\/business\/companies\/retail\/coca-cola-taps-into-alcohol-market-with-new-jack-daniels-collaboration\/premium\/JT2IKLLMYNA77NPEF7GDR2OW7Q\/\">earlier this year<\/a>, including pre-mixed Jack Daniel\u2019s whiskey and Coca-Cola drink, as well as an Absolut Vodka and Sprite mix.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xRCtHSZoMFoDBmw\" style=\"display:none\">The collaboration between the major brands was made possible after Coca-Cola entered a global partnership with Brown-Forman, the owner of Jack Daniel\u2019s, in late 2022.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xRCtHSZoMFoDBmw\" style=\"display:none\">The decision to bring the products to New Zealand was made later in 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xRCtHSZoMFoDBmw\" style=\"display:none\">Coca-Cola vice-president and general manager of alcoholic ready-to-drink (aRTD) for Asean and South Pacific, Matthias Blume, said the collaboration made sense.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xRCtHSZoMFoDBmw\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cHow often do you get to enter into a country with a portfolio of brands where the consumer really understands the category?\u201d Blume said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xRCtHSZoMFoDBmw\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cYou often build something from scratch, and here it\u2019s coming into a market that\u2019s quite mature.
