The round was led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indexventures.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Index Ventures<\/a>, with participation from Seedcamp,<br \/>\nFrst, No Label Ventures, Entrepreneurs First, and a group of healthcare and<br \/>\ntechnology operators, including Digital Surgery founder Jean Nehme, Color<br \/>\nHealth CEO Othman Laraki, and Meta board member Charlie Songhurst.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2025 by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/inesiraki\/?locale=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Ines Iraki<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/johann-diep\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Johann Diep<\/a>,<br \/>\nand <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/eric-vibert-md-phd-bab30469\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Professor Eric Vibert<\/a>, Uncovr develops AI technology that analyses surgical<br \/>\nprocedures and automatically generates operative reports and procedural coding<br \/>\nrecommendations from surgical video and intraoperative workflow data.<\/p>\n<p>The company is addressing a longstanding<br \/>\nchallenge in healthcare documentation. Although an increasing number of<br \/>\nsurgical procedures are captured through video, particularly in robotic and<br \/>\nminimally invasive surgery, operative reports are still largely written<br \/>\nmanually after procedures have taken place. These reports form the official<br \/>\nclinical and legal record of a surgery and play a critical role in patient<br \/>\ncare, hospital reimbursement, compliance, and future treatment decisions.<\/p>\n<p>Uncovr&#8217;s platform analyses surgical and<br \/>\nendoscopic video recordings in real time to create structured procedural<br \/>\nrecords and draft documentation before surgeons leave the operating room. All<br \/>\noutputs are reviewed and approved prior to submission.<\/p>\n<p>According to the company, grounding<br \/>\ndocumentation in procedural data rather than recollection can improve clinical<br \/>\naccuracy, coding quality, reimbursement integrity, and continuity of care. The<br \/>\nplatform also creates searchable procedural records that can be used across<br \/>\nquality assurance, compliance, research, and operational workflows.<\/p>\n<p>The company says early deployments have also<br \/>\nhighlighted documentation-related reimbursement gaps that often go undetected<br \/>\nthrough conventional review processes, underscoring the operational and<br \/>\nfinancial impact of incomplete surgical reporting.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond documentation and coding, Uncovr aims<br \/>\nto transform surgical procedures into structured clinical datasets that can<br \/>\nsupport future healthcare systems, research initiatives, and AI-enabled<br \/>\nsurgical technologies.<\/p>\n<p>Uncovr is already working with hospitals in<br \/>\nthe United States and Europe and says its deployment pipeline includes more<br \/>\nthan 400 operating rooms.
