Olivia Rodrigo<\/a>\u00a0said she experienced an \u201canxiety attack\u201d before her headline set at Glastonbury Festival 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The popstar took to the Pyramid Stage on Sunday<\/a> last year, where she teamed up with Robert Smith to perform The Cure classics \u2018Friday I\u2019m In Love\u2019 and \u2018Just Like Heaven\u2019.<\/a> It was her second time at the festival, having made her Glasto debut on The Other Stage in 2022<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, Rodrigo has reflected on the moments before taking to the stage, telling the BBC:\u00a0\u201cI remember having a near anxiety attack in the bathroom, like, \u2018How am I going to do this? I don\u2019t know if I\u2019m ready.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut something overcame me the second I stepped on stage and started singing,\u201d she added. \u201cI felt totally calm and so in my element. I\u2019m not very spiritual or religious, but it\u2019s moments like that where I feel music is just so magical that you just can\u2019t really describe it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rodrigo also described playing at festival as \u201cprobably the best weekend of my life\u201d, adding: \u201cI have such a reverence for the festival and the incredible heritage and artists that have played on that stage, so I put so much love and care into that set and spent so much time thinking about it. The fact that it translated it was totally a dream come true.\u201d<\/p>\n

We gave Rodrigo\u2019s 2025 Glastonbury headline set a 4-star review<\/a>, writing: \u201cThere is no doubt about the commitment that Rodrigo has put into this set. For the few naysayers doubting whether or not the 22-year-old was ready to take on the coveted Pyramid slot as the last headliner before a fallow year<\/a>, this one that will stand the test of time and leave us impatient for the Glasto magic to return.\u201d<\/p>\n

The popstar is preparing to release her third studio album \u2018You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love\u2019<\/a>, which arrives tomorrow (June 12) via Geffen \u2013 pre-order\/pre-save here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Alongside singles \u2018Drop Dead<\/a>\u2018 and \u2018The Cure<\/a>\u2018, the album will also feature a duet between Rodrigo and Robert Smith called \u2018What\u2019s Wrong With Me\u2019 \u2013 which the singer debuted with The Cure frontman in tow at her surprise Primavera Sound set<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview with\u00a0British Vogue<\/a>, Rodrigo said the album consists of \u201csad love songs\u201d, adding: \u201cI realised all my favourite romantic love songs were beautiful because they had a tinge of fear or yearning in them.\u201d<\/p>\n
