The extraordinary run for Obsession continues in India, as the film kicked off its third week with nearly Rs. 4 crore \/ USD 425K approx on Friday. This is on par with its 2nd Friday<\/a>, with virtually no week-on-week drop. The fifteen-day total stands at Rs. 63 crore \/ USD 6.60 million approx. With an expected Rs. 17 crore third weekend, it shall be over Rs. 75 crore by Sunday. Notably, that weekend number will be almost double its opening weekend.<\/p>\n

This phenomenal hold has made reaching Rs. 100 crore pretty much certain for the film. By the end of the third week, the film should be closing in on Rs. 85 crore, leaving it just Rs. 15 crore away from the century mark. There will be a lot of competition in the coming weeks, but with the third week around Rs. 25 crore and the way it has held so far, it should be straightforward.<\/p>\n

On doing so, it will be the highest-grossing Hollywood film of the year, surpassing Rs. 90 crore of Project Hail Mary. Moreover, it will be the biggest horror genre film from Hollywood, surpassing\u00a0The Conjuring: Last Rites<\/a>.<\/p>\n
