House of Guinness has reportedly been renewed for a second season<\/a> on Netflix, with production on the period drama set to begin in 2027.<\/p>\n

Variety reports<\/a> that a second season has been green-lit, though when Radio Times<\/a> approached Netflix for comment, the streamer reiterated that new episodes are yet to be officially announced.<\/p>\n

The series, which features a cast<\/a> led by Anthony Boyle and Louis Partridge, follows the Guinness siblings through the years after their father’s death. Though it ended on a cliffhanger<\/a>, it’s likely we could expect Emily Fairn, Fionn O\u2019Shea, and James Norton to return for a second outing.<\/p>\n

Creator Steven Knight previously told Radio Times that the response to the series was “fantastic”, noting he was “really, really pleased” with the audience response.<\/p>\n

“I’m really, really pleased that, first of all, the cast was so fantastic, and I’m pleased on behalf of them, because it’s sort of a generation of fantastic actors,” Knight said. “But to see the response was wonderful. I mean, across the globe. So really pleased with that. And\u2026 yeah.”<\/p>\n

When asked about a potential season 2<\/a>, Knight added: “I was just gonna say, I was about to continue then, but I’m not. I can’t speak about that.”<\/p>\n

Knight had previously told Radio Times exclusively that he had “obviously thought about where it can go and how far it can go”.<\/p>\n

“You always have an ambition to take it all the way,” he said, “but we will see.”<\/p>\n

House of Guinness is one of Knight’s many historical dramas, with the writer also the mind behind A Thousand Blows<\/a>, SAS Rogue Heroes<\/a>, Taboo<\/a> and Peaky Blinders<\/a>, the latter of which is returning for a sequel series<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, the BBC confirmed that a new series, set in the 1950s, will see the role of Tommy Shelby’s eldest son and heir, Erasmus “Duke” Shelby<\/a>, played by Jamie Bell.<\/p>\n

With a decade-long time jump, we will now see an older Duke as he leads the Shelby clan and Peaky Blinders gang into a new future.<\/p>\n

The official synopsis reads: “In this new era of Peaky Blinders, a decade after World War Two, the race to rebuild Birmingham becomes a brutal contest of mythical dimensions.<\/p>\n

“This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and jeopardy. At its blood-soaked heart is Duke Shelby (Jamie Bell): older, wiser, more ambitious, and most certainly more dangerous.”<\/p>\n
