After James Franco<\/a> was hit with numerous allegations of sexual misconduct in 2018, his former frequent collaborator Seth Rogen<\/a> said he had no plans to work with him again, something he recently reaffirmed.<\/p>\n

Franco spent much of the early aughts as one of Hollywood\u2019s most in-demand stars, thanks to movies such as Sam Raimi\u2019s Spider-Man<\/a> trilogy, Pineapple Express, and\u00a0127 Hours.\u00a0However, in\u00a02018, accusations of sexual misconduct emerged against him<\/a>, resulting in\u00a0a 2021 lawsuit that was settled out of court<\/a>. Franco denied all allegations at the time, but\u00a0later discussed them publicly<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Since the allegations, he has remained largely out of the spotlight, primarily appearing in low-budget independent productions and ending his long-running friendship with Rogen<\/a>.\u00a0Now, The Studio star has said he hasn\u2019t spoken to Franco \u201cin a long time\u201d and has \u201cno plans\u201d to work with the actor, who has recently been mounting a comeback on TikTok<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The pair first met while starring in the 1999 teen comedy-drama series\u00a0Freaks and Geeks and went on to make a number of hit films together, including\u00a02014\u2019s\u00a0The Interview\u00a0and 2017\u2019s\u00a0The Disaster Artist. After Franco admitted to sleeping with students at his acting school<\/a>, Rogen publicly distanced himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m trying to think how much I want to personally share about this,\u201d Rogen prefaced when speaking to The New York Times <\/a>about Franco earlier this week.<\/p>\n

\u201cI honestly think the nuance of it is too personal for me to get into right now. It is a very personal thing. There\u2019s the public-facing side of it, which I\u2019ve spoken about, and I have the same stance publicly that I\u2019ve had, and I think the proof is in the pudding \u2013 I have not worked with him in years.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rogen continued, \u201cBut the personal side of it is just so nuanced, and it involves people that I don\u2019t know if I should be dragging into this.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what I would benefit from getting deeply into it. Nothing has changed since the last time I talked about all this, and I haven\u2019t worked with him in a really long time, and I have no plans to.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last year, Rogen said he didn\u2019t notice when Franco said their friendship was over, remarking: \u201cIt really wasn\u2019t on my radar\u201d.<\/a><\/p>\n
