How we met: On Ruapehu \u2013 I was running a working weekend one Easter \u2013 he was there to join the club and get the required number of workdays (6). He was a gem \u2013 could do anything.<\/p>\n
The best thing about my relationship:\u00a0He is a wonderful bloke \u2013 always there for me. We like to do all the same things \u2013 ski, sail, long distance walking, cruising, travel \u2013 we\u2019ve done it all in our time.<\/p>\n
A problem we can\u2019t seem to resolve:\u00a0His preoccupation with money\/ always feels he doesn\u2019t have enough.<\/p>\n
This is how we share\/separate our finances:\u00a0Our finances are completely separate and we have a property relationship contract drawn up by a lawyer and signed by us both. That\u2019s so that everything goes to my children \u2013 no arguments or issues.<\/p>\n
This is how we split chores and childcare:\u00a0We both only do the things we like doing \u2013 that seems to cover all the chores. We have two grand children and whoever is home looks after them. We did the same when my boys were young.<\/p>\n
Our sex life in three words:\u00a0None now \u2013 used to be great.<\/p>\n
The thing that makes me a good partner:\u00a0I\u2019m positive and funny and direct.<\/p>\n
The thing I need to work on to be a better partner:\u00a0I can be too direct\/ critical.<\/p>\n
What I most appreciate in my partner:\u00a0He\u2019s great \u2013 caring and loving and will do anything for me.<\/p>\n

Our last big fight was about:\u00a0We rarely fight. Our last fight was years ago \u2013 he worked for a hateful firm and was always grumpy. I decided I couldn\u2019t take it any more and told him that. He resigned and we\u2019ve been perfectly happy ever since.<\/p>\n

My relationship advice is:\u00a0Resolve issues while they\u2019re still small, don\u2019t carry them around, don\u2019t hold grudges.
