Former The Ellen DeGeneres Show child star Sophia Grace Brownlee<\/a>\u00a0is pregnant with her third baby.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are so excited to meet you \ud83e\udd0d,\u201d Brownlee, 23, wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Sunday, June 14, alongside footage of herself showing her son River, 3, and daughter Athena, 18 months, holding ultrasound photos.<\/p>\n

Brownlee also added \u201cPregnant,\u201d \u201cPregnancy,\u201d \u201cMom of 3\u201d and \u201c3 Family Siblings\u201d hashtag to her announcement.<\/p>\n

Brownlee, who rose to fame<\/a> as a child dancing to Nicki Minaj\u2019s \u201cSuperbass\u201d on DeGeneres\u2019 now-defunct talk show, welcomed River in March 2023. Athena followed in December 2024. (Brownlee has never publicly identified the father of her children.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI was quite young when I had River. I was 19, which I do feel like is quite young,\u201d the social media star recalled on the \u201cPrivate Story\u201d podcast<\/a> in February, recalling her experience as a young mother. \u201cI don\u2019t regret, like, doing anything because I\u2019m quite happy with where I am now. When I had Athena, I was 21, which is a bit more older.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued at the time, \u201cIt\u2019s obviously young to have kids, but I don\u2019t really think there\u2019s a right age to have kids as long as you\u2019re ready and you\u2019re mature enough, that\u2019s all that matters.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Brownlee, she stated that she felt \u201cfinancially stable\u201d enough to have a family because of her childhood fame and salary.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I wasn\u2019t, like, I would have been struggling a lot,\u201d she acknowledged. \u201cSo, yeah, I\u2019m blessed to have been in that situation.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Brownlee has enjoyed motherhood, it has taken her awhile to feel comfortable after an admittedly scary childbirth experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt actually went quite bad with River. It wasn\u2019t a nice experience,\u201d she recalled on the podcast. \u201cI went into labor naturally, and I was just a week early, which is common. That\u2019s not a problem, and everything was fine. It just, kind of, got bad when you\u2019re actually trying to push the baby out. He was getting really stressed out, and he just wouldn\u2019t come down properly like how [babies] are supposed to.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brownlee added, \u201cLoads of different doctors and surgeons [came into my room], which is so scary. I was, like, \u2018What\u2019s happening?\u2019 They were, like, \u2018We think we\u2019re going to have to do a C-section because the baby\u2019s getting distressed.\u2019 I was just so scared that they were going to put me to sleep \u2018cause that is one of my biggest fears because I think I\u2019m not going to wake up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brownlee, who found her emergency C-section<\/a> to be \u201cone of the scariest times\u201d in her life, later had a vaginal delivery \u2014 also known as a VBAC, or vaginal birth after C-section \u2014 with baby No. 2.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause I had a C-section, they were like, \u2018We\u2019re going to book you in for another one,\u2019\u201d she said in February of welcoming Athena. \u201cThat\u2019s what they like to do, but the midwives were, like, \u2018No, we think you can have her naturally, so at least try.\u2019 I did, and it went so quickly. \u2026 I was so proud of myself, and I was glad I got to experience a natural birth, which I would choose every time over a C-section.\u201d<\/p>\n
