Radio Essex has added a new local voice to weekend afternoons.<\/p>\n

Hawa Kassam is joining the station\u2019s weekend line up with a show on Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm to 4pm.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Hawa, who lives in Chelmsford, will also be used by Radio Essex for weekday cover as part of the station\u2019s presenter team.<\/p>\n

She was previously the Breakfast show host at Essex Hits, and now moves into a regular weekend slot on Radio Essex from this Saturday at 1pm.<\/p>\n

Programme Director Chris Brooks said: \u201cHawa comes to us with a wealth of experience and will add to our local line up of presenters from Essex. Content that cuts through is what we need and Hawa brings this to every show she does.\u201d<\/p>\n

The new weekend programme adds another Essex based presenter to the Radio Essex schedule, with Hawa taking over the early afternoon slot across both weekend days.<\/p>\n
