Image: Richard Gresham <\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/t.cfjump.com\/92797\/b\/287093\" rel=\"nofollow sponsored noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none; vertical-align: middle;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/287093.gif\" alt=\"\"\/><br \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s according to driver coach and mentor Paul Morris, who has described the 23-year-old as a talent on the level of F1 star Max Verstappen.<\/p>\n<p>Feeney entered the Ford family this year thanks to the Triple Eight Supercars squad\u2019s defection from General Motors.<\/p>\n<p>The Blue Oval is yet to deploy Feeney on any international missions, although did utilise him in its ill-fated Bathurst 12 Hour entry in February.<\/p>\n<p>Morris took to social media to air his thoughts <a href=\"https:\/\/speedcafe.com\/wec-news-2026-matt-campbell-leaves-porsche-joins-ford-announcement-new-hypercar-details-comments-teammates\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">following Ford\u2019s announcement in Le Mans that Australian Matt Campbell has joined its Hypercar project.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cFord management claim and clearly do know a lot about car racing. They\u2019re car racing guys,\u201d said Morris.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTheir next move is Broc Feeney. Secure your spot today.<br \/>\n    <a href=\"https:\/\/ticketekau.pxf.io\/5kYxq9\" style=\"color:#de482e;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Buy tickets<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve known Broc since he was a young bloke, so full disclosure here, but I think he\u2019s a Verstappen-level talent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey need to build a program around him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Feeney has previously declared a desire to<a href=\"https:\/\/speedcafe.com\/supercars-news-2026-broc-feeney-dtm-germany-ford-mustang-gt3-haupt-racing-team\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> join Ford\u2019s global GT3 efforts including Germany\u2019s DTM, as well as eyeing starts in NASCAR<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He impressed in practice and qualifying at the Bathurst 12 Hour, but a collision with a kangaroo meant he did not drive in the race itself.<\/p>\n<p>Feeney has extensive experience in Mercedes-AMG and Audi GT3 machinery, including limited international sojourns with the former.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know he\u2019s quick in a GT3 car, he smokes the factory drivers,\u201d Morris continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s that quick in a GT3 car they actually give him the keys and let him qualify it [at Bathurst].<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know he\u2019d be outstanding on the road courses in a NASCAR.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo there\u2019s some marquee events there where they could deploy him when it lines up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat should be Ford\u2019s next move. Build a really cool program around Broc Feeney.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRemember, he\u2019s only 23. Think of what he\u2019s achieved. He\u2019s still learning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMake him part of that Ford Racing family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Morris\u2019 comments come as General Motors <a href=\"https:\/\/speedcafe.com\/supercars-news-matt-payne-nascar-offer-details-gm-simulator-contract-breach-general-motors-ford\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">attempts to lure Grove Racing star Matt Payne to Team 18 with the carrot of international opportunities.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Feeney will be back in action at this weekend\u2019s Darwin Triple Crown, where he\u2019ll aim to give Ford its first Hidden Valley wins of the Gen3 era.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Broc Feeney at the Bathurst 12 Hour.
