“Maybe there’s nothing wrong with me at all. Maybe I’m ready for something more!” Disney has unveiled a teaser trailer for their next new Disney Animation creation titled Hexed, in theaters starting in November 2026<\/a> this fall. An all-new magical coming-of-age saga \u2013\u00a0the original film is Walt Disney Animation Studios\u2019 65th animated feature in their glorious history. An awkward teen and Type-A mother learn her peculiarities might be magical powers, transforming their lives and revealing a hidden magical realm. Hailee Steinfeld and Rashida Jones lead the voice cast along with Tracey Ullman, who voices the enchanted feather quill pen Ms. Quill, and Stephen Fry as the magical journal Elias Quire. Director Fawn Veerasunthorn states: “A wonderfully strange phenomenon is happening all around Billie, something she can’t explain. She’s someone who has felt miscast in her own life, and it takes leaving her normal world behind and entering a hidden world of wild, unhinged magic to begin to understand herself.” Director Jason Hand adds: “Hexe is a place where Billie begins to feel seen for the first time in her life. She embarks on a journey of self-discovery that reveals a powerful connection to magic, and in the process uncovers long-held secrets about her own family.” This looks especially exciting so far! Welcome to Hexe, the world of witches. The new trailer from Disney Animation introduces the impulsive and unconventional teenage girl Billie (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld) and her cautious mother, Alice (voiced by Rashida Jones). When she accidentally unleashes secret magical abilities, she\u2019s hurtled out of suburbia and into a magical realm called Hexe, where she’s greeted by Ms. Quill (voiced by Tracey Ullman) and Elias Quire (voiced by Stephen Fry). As Billie’s spectacle-filled journey unfolds, she uncovers family mysteries that could change the magical world of witches forever. Hexed is directed by the two animation filmmakers Fawn Veerasunthorn<\/a> (head of story on Raya and the Last Dragon) and Jason Hand<\/a> (head of story on Encanto). It’s co-directed by Josie Trinidad. Final screenplay credits are not available yet. Produced by Roy Conli and Yvett Merino. Made by Disney Animation Studios in Burbank, CA.
