Prince Harry<\/a> is flying solo.<\/p>\n

Neither Meghan Markle<\/a> nor their children Prince Archie<\/a>, 7, and Princess Lilibet<\/a>, 5, are expected to join the Duke of Sussex, 41, in the U.K. this summer for the 2027 Invictus Games one-year countdown celebration, per People<\/a>, due to security concerns.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is apparently a plan for Harry to be granted some protections while he is in the U.K. on this coming trip, which he\u2019s taking as a good sign<\/a>\u201d that full security may one day be extended to his family, reveals a source. \u201cStill, he does worry that it\u2019s all going to move too slowly and that Lily and Archie will never know<\/a> their grandad,\u201d King Charles III<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s believed the cancer-stricken monarch, 77, has not seen Archie and Lilibet since 2022, when Harry and Meghan, 44, flew to England for Queen Elizabeth II<\/a>\u2018s Platinum Jubilee.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe whole situation is incredibly upsetting for him,\u201d the source says of Harry, who is \u201cdoing his best to soldier on\u201d despite the circumstances<\/a>. \u201cHe\u2019s very excited about the Invictus events that are planned, and he\u2019s excited to spend time with his friends there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meghan, however, is breathing a sigh of relief over avoiding a run-in with the royals<\/a> this summer, Examiner\u2018s source reveals.<\/p>\n

Harry \u201cwould much rather Meghan be by his side, but he would never force her and it\u2019s obvious she\u2019s beyond relieved not to be going,\u201d says the source.<\/p>\n

Still, the trip is bringing the Duchess of Sussex \u201cno end of stress,\u201d the source notes.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s now worrying about what effect being back in England might have on him,\u201d says the source. \u201cShe knows there are people there that want to poison him against her<\/a> and she\u2019s very aware that he has been dealing with a bad case of homesickness for a while now.\u201d<\/p>\n
