Jobs Report to Land as Fed Looks Ahead to Next Interest-Rate Move  <\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_15-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"> The economy is expected to continue its recent trend of relatively low job growth when the latest U.S. employment report is released at 8:30 a.m. ET.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_17-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"> Employers likely added 75,000 jobs in August, a slight uptick from the anemic 73,000 added in July, according to a survey of economists by Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal. Broadcom Shares Soar as Strong AI Demand Lifts Chip Sales  <\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_31-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"> Broadcom (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/markets\/quote?tvwidgetsymbol=AVGO\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">AVGO<\/a>) shares were up some 10% premarket. The chipmaker last night <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/broadcom-revenue-reaches-record-high-on-strong-ai-demand-11803728\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported record quarterly sales<\/a> as demand for its AI offerings surged.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_33-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"> Broadcom posted quarterly adjusted earnings per share of $1.69 on revenue that jumped 22% year-over-year to a record $15.95 billion, both topping analysts&#8217; estimates compiled by Visible Alpha. CEO Hock Tan said the company expects AI semiconductor revenue could climb to $6.2 billion in the current quarter, &#8220;delivering eleven consecutive quarters of growth, as our customers continue to strongly invest.&#8221; The company forecast fiscal fourth-quarter revenue of $17.4 billion, slightly above consensus.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_35-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"> The company also last night reported a new multibillion-dollar customer, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/broadcom-developing-an-ai-chip-with-big-new-customer-openai-reports-say-11804076\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">which reports suggest<\/a> is OpenAI. The ChatGPT maker is also reportedly designing new chips with Broadcom.\n<\/p>\n<p>  5. Lululemon Shares Fall as Outlook Soured by Tariffs  <\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_38-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"> Shares of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/articles\/investing\/052715\/understanding-lululemons-business-model.asp\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lululemon Athletica<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/markets\/quote?tvwidgetsymbol=LULU\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">LULU<\/a>) dropped by 19% in premarket trading after the athletic wear maker\u2019s yearly outlook fell short of expectations.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_40-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"> Lululemon posted a 7% increase in quarterly revenue to reach $2.5 billion, slightly below analyst estimates compiled by Visible Alpha, while its adjusted earnings per share of $3.10 was ahead of estimates of $2.86. However, the 1% increase in comparable store sales was below estimates of 2.76%.
