ASMIK<\/a> Ace describes the anime’s story:<\/p>\n

Araki, Stella, and Olga are high school students living in a cozy downtown neighborhood. Playing games, visiting the bathhouse, and heading home – this is the story of their everyday lives\u2026 or is there more to it?<\/p>\n

Previously announced cast members include:<\/p>\n

Tarou Iwasaki<\/a> (Baki the Grappler<\/a>, Bibliophile Princess<\/a>, One Week Friends<\/a>) is directing the anime at D\u014dga K\u014db\u014d and Yoriko Tomita<\/a> (The Elusive Samurai<\/a>, My Dress-Up Darling<\/a> two seasons, Senpai is an Otokonoko<\/a>) is in charge of series scripts. Leo Ieiri<\/a> will perform the anime’s opening theme song<\/a> “Mebius,” while Ai Tomioka<\/a> will perform the anime’s ending theme song<\/a> “Dilemma.” Other staff members include:<\/p>\n

The anime will premiere<\/a> on Tokyo MX<\/a> and BS Fuji<\/a> on July 9, and on MBS<\/a> on July 10. The anime will air for one cours<\/a> (quarter of a year).<\/p>\n

Mebius Dust will be the third anime produced from the winners of the Project Anima contest. When Project Anima announced the story as the winner of its “Kids\/Game” category in 2019, it was tentatively slated for after 2020.<\/p>\n

Project Anima accepted<\/a> story submissions from the general public through DeNA<\/a>‘s MangaBox, Everystar<\/a>, and similar user-submitted content platforms. DeNA, Sotsu Co., Ltd.<\/a>, Nippon Cultural Broadcasting<\/a>, and MBS hosted competitions in three categories.<\/p>\n

The project announced<\/a> the winner for the “Science-Fiction\/Robot” category in August 2018, with Nekotar\u014d Inui<\/a>‘s Sakugan Labyrinth Marker<\/a> (Drilling Labyrinth Marker) novel as the runner-up (the judges did not award the novel a grand prize), with an anime adaptation by Satelight<\/a> initially slated for 2020. That project eventually spawned the Sakugan<\/a> television anime, which premiered<\/a> in October 2021. Crunchyroll<\/a> streamed<\/a> the anime as it aired in Japan.<\/p>\n

The project announced<\/a> the winner for the “Isekai\/Fantasy” category in October 2018, with Yuzuki Akasaka<\/a>‘s Mah\u014d Tsukai ni Narenakatta Onna no Ko no Hanashi<\/a> (The Story of the Girl Who Couldn’t Become a Wizard) novel as the grand prize. J.C. Staff<\/a>‘s anime adaptation premiered<\/a> in October 2024. The anime was initially slated for a 2021 debut.<\/p>\n
