Kyle Sandilands<\/a> has been facing private heartache amid his settlement with former employer ARN<\/a>, revealing his mother Pamela, 76, is currently undergoing cancer treatment. <\/p>\n

The radio shock jock, 55, made the personal revelation while speaking to reporters outside his home on Wednesday evening, hours after news of the $12.09 million settlement came to light<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kyle Sandilands excused himself from reporters when he revealed he had to pick up mum Pam who was undergoing cancer treatment. \u00a0Instagram\/@kyleandjackieo<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry, my mum\u2019s just doing some cancer treatments. I\u2019m just going to pick her up from the doctors,\u201d he told 7News.<\/p>\n

\u201cHappy with the deal. Rattled that my mum is not well.\u201d<\/p>\n

The radio star<\/a> didn\u2019t elaborate any further before driving off in his car. <\/p>\n

Sandilands previously opened up on-air about his mum Pam raising him and his brother Chris as a solo parent<\/a>, detailing the domestic violence they all experienced at the hands of his father when he was a young boy. <\/p>\n

Sandilands\u2019 father passed away in 2016. While the pair mended their relationship before his death, he said the psychological effects remained. <\/p>\n

In 2025, he also spoke of his mother on The Kyle and Jackie O Show after she was scammed out of thousands<\/a> and issued an urgent warning to listeners. <\/p>\n

In a statement to the market, ARN revealed this week it had agreed to pay Sandilands a settlement sum of $12.09 million, with $3 million of the package payable in July 2026 and the balance payable monthly until June 2029.<\/p>\n

As part of the settlement, ARN will provide Sandilands with \u201cadvertising services on ARN\u2019s partner platforms\u201d, worth $1.5 million over the next three years.<\/p>\n

Sandilands said of the agreement: \u201cIt means I can get back to work rather than annoying my wife. It\u2019s quite daunting to have that hanging over your head. <\/p>\n

\u201cI could\u2019ve dragged it on for like a year and a half. My guys are pretty confident of winning.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t care if it\u2019s hugely successful or if it just keep the people that were retrenched employed.\u201d <\/p>\n

Sandilands has often praised mum Pam for raising him and brother Chris as a single parent.\u00a0Instagram\/@kyleandjackieo<\/p>\n

The settlement came after Sandilands took legal action against his former employer, after\u00a0terminating his $100 million KIIS FM contract earlier this year<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The settlement will now end one of two lawsuits brought against ARN after the\u00a0end of the\u00a0Kyle and Jackie O Show\u00a0in February<\/a>\u00a0following an on-air bust up between its two stars.<\/p>\n

While Sandilands\u2019 case has settled, the legal action brought by Jackie O\u2019Henderson continues<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Henderson is suing for\u00a0wrongful termination against ARN<\/a>, claiming compensation of at least $82.25 million and alleging that her termination was against the Fair Work Act.<\/p>\n
