Lil Nas X revealed he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve been in rehab for a few months and since then, I\u2019ve been back at home \u2014 whether it\u2019s in Atlanta with my family or in Los Angeles with myself, friends and whatnot \u2014 and trying to ground myself down to earth and get out of my head,\u201d the \u201cOld Town Road\u201d singer said in a candid Instagram video message Wednesday.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have a therapist now and a psychiatrist, which has been really helpful when I got my bipolar disorder diagnosis,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n
Lil Nas \u2014 born Montero Hill \u2014 said he felt like he had \u201cknown for the past few years\u201d that he had a mental health condition, but he \u201cdidn\u2019t want to have to take medication and have people think different[ly] of me.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m already Black and gay. Like, \u2018Damn, God.\u2019 Black, gay, bipolar. I\u2019m like living life on like extreme hard mode,\u201d the \u201cIndustry Baby\u201d hit maker, 27, said with a laugh.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut on a serious note, I\u2019m doing much better. I\u2019m doing better, I\u2019m feeling better. I\u2019m creating freely and there\u2019s less fear in my heart,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m just smelling the roses, man. \u2026 I\u2019ve been doing music for seven years now.\u201d<\/p>\n
Lil Nas told his viewers that he has new music on the way.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m excited to go on this journey with you guys, this next chapter. We\u2019ve been through so much together,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
\u201cThank you guys for holding it down. I love you and all I want to do is continue to try to make you guys proud and make myself proud,\u201d Lil Nas concluded.<\/p>\n

Lil Nas\u2019 diagnosis comes nearly a year after he was seen roaming the streets in Los Angeles while only wearing white underwear and boots.<\/p>\n
The pop star was arrested at the scene after he allegedly punched a cop in the face before he was hospitalised.<\/p>\n
He was charged with four felonies, including battery with injury on a police officer and resisting an executive officer, after he allegedly attacked cops who were trying to detain him.<\/p>\n
Lil Nas pleaded not guilty to the charges and in April, a California judge granted him entry into a mental health diversion program.<\/p>\n
